Challenge
Mora Heritage entered the market with a strong instinct for style and a clear appreciation for craftsmanship, but like many emerging fashion brands, it faced a difficult positioning challenge from the beginning. The slow-fashion space had become crowded with brands leading heavily on ethics while often neglecting the aspirational desire of high-fashion brands. Mora Heritage wanted to exist as the bridge between the two, capturing the essence of both rather than it being a decision between one or the other.
As a new label preparing to launch, the goal was to establish Mora Heritage as an accessible-luxury alternative within the Australian fashion market. Every touchpoint needed to feel emotionally consistent, from campaign imagery through to social captions, website language, and marketing. The founder approached us looking for support in shaping the brand from the inside out, building a clear messaging direction, refining the customer experience, and creating a strong strategy-based launch campaign.
Perspective
Develop a cohesive brand and messaging strategy, supported by creative direction, launch marketing, social media, influencer outreach, and campaign execution that would position the brand clearly within the premium fashion space while building early momentum and audience connection.
Solution
We began with a deep analysis of both the market and the brand itself. Mora Heritage had beautiful products and honourable intentions for the future of fashion, but the positioning lacked clarity. The brand was sitting in an awkward middle ground, trying to speak to multiple audiences at once and communicate too many ideas simultaneously. Sustainability, luxury, craftsmanship, femininity, timelessness, accessibility, exclusivity; all of the ingredients were there, but none of them expressed clearly enough to create a strong identity that customers could immediately connect with.
Through competitor research, audience analysis, and strategic brand workshops, we landed on a central concept: effortlessly beautiful dresses that feel luxe first and ethical second. Mora Heritage would speak directly to women who want clothes that make them feel incredible every time they put them on. Sustainability matters to them, but beauty, fit, fashion credibility, and desire still drive the purchase. The brand became a home for women who expect style and substance from the same piece.
Mora Heritage leads with attraction and desire in a sustainable-fashion category often defined by beige linen and worthiness. Elevated silhouettes, artisanal detail, and romance without fuss positioned the label as an accessible-luxury alternative to higher-end designers. The sustainability story builds trust without overwhelming the fashion narrative, while the focus on hero pieces reinforces longevity, value, and wearability. Mora Heritage became the stylish woman’s answer to “nothing to wear”: fewer pieces, but the right pieces.
That central concept became the creative and commercial filter for the launch. We translated it into positioning, customer personas, value propositions, messaging pillars, tone of voice guidelines, and emotional direction, giving Mora Heritage a clear and consistent way to communicate across every customer touchpoint.
Alongside the strategic work, we conducted a full website copy audit to improve clarity, consistency, and flow across the customer journey. We then carried this direction into creative production, overseeing shoot direction, model sourcing, location sourcing, styling decisions, and campaign execution to ensure every visual asset reflected the refined, effortless world Mora Heritage was building.
We brought the strategy to life through a campaign shoot with photographer Jess LaFrankie. Milkshake led the creative direction, model and location sourcing, styling, and production to build Mora Heritage’s visual world.
To support launch, we developed EDM campaigns, social media direction, influencer outreach and relationship management, and a giveaway campaign designed to rapidly build awareness and audience engagement. Influencer partnerships were selected carefully to align with the aspirational but wearable positioning of the brand, helping Mora Heritage feel naturally embedded within the wardrobes and lifestyles of its target customer.
Every element of the launch was designed to feel cohesive. The imagery, copy, campaign direction, and customer experience all worked together to create a brand that felt established from day one rather than emerging.
Impact
Mora Heritage launched with a strong and clearly defined identity that quickly attracted attention. In a two month launch window the website generated more than 38,500 sessions alongside over 1,400 giveaway entrants. Across the three-month social campaign, Instagram and Facebook delivered more than 681,000 organic impressions, 34,800 outbound clicks and taps, nearly 8,000 profile and page visits, and more than 1200 new followers.
Most importantly, Mora Heritage successfully carved out its own position within the Australian slow-fashion market. The brand created desire first, allowing the sustainability story to deepen trust rather than carry the entire weight of the marketing. That balance gave customers a stronger emotional connection to the pieces themselves and helped establish Mora Heritage as a label women wanted to wear repeatedly, all whilst feeling good about themselves and their social consciousness at the same time.
