Challenge

Bec, the creative force behind Food Design Studio, approached Milkshake Creative in May 2024 with a clear goal: to elevate her brand and attract larger clients.
Offering quality services in recipe design, food styling, and photography, Food Design Studio needed a robust marketing strategy and expert implementation to reach its full potential.

Perspective

Combine long term brand building exercises with short-term business improvements across the entire funnel to attract and retain larger clients.

Solution

We began with complete brand repositioning and marketing strategy development, followed by a comprehensive website makeover. We created professional materials including a services guide and proposal document template. To enhance the business’s digital presence, we began writing blog posts, implemented a LinkedIn content strategy and set up Sales Navigator for lead generation. We also streamlined operations by organising the sales funnel with embedded web forms, CRM integration, and automated email responses. This was complemented by strategic email marketing with careful list segmentation.
We also built and launched a subscription-based recipe library as a value add for Bec’s loyal audience and an additional revenue stream.

Impact

At the time of writing, website visits increased by 191%, unique visitors grew by 155%, and page views surged by 434%. More importantly, these improvements translated into significant business outcomes. Bec began signing larger clients than ever, with average contract values reaching $10-15k, the largest of which amounting to $60k. In 2024 FDS secured contracts with industry leaders including Inghams, Bruemar Pork, Arkadia, Maltra Foods, Dairy Australia, and Australian Eggs. Today, Bec is fully booked for the next 12 months with retainer work and booked until July 2025 with project work. The recipe library has been well received by Bec’s audience with 100s of signups within the first 3 months post-launch.
