Challenge
A chef by trade, Sara curates beautiful, memorable and delicious epicurean experiences in the picturesque Hunter Valley. She approached Milkshake looking for a renewed brand identity that better communicated her ethos and offering. Her current logo lacked creativity, and without a solid brand identity, she found there was a lack of consistency across her collateral. The branding also needed flexibility, with Sara planning to run cooking classes and develop food products under the CT banner in the future.
Perspective
Create a more premium branding suite that reflects the tastes of the Chef’s Table target audience, naturally increasing intrigue and engagement. Ensure flexibility for future applications in packaging and broad marketing collateral.
Solution
Beginning with an in-depth discovery into the essence of the Chef’s Table brand, it was obvious that a total redesign of the brand identity was required to bring the brand’s visuals in line with the experience Sara offered. We wanted to create something that appealed to the brand’s middle to upper-class female target audience who appreciate high-quality, personalised food and wine experiences. The creative direction chosen focused on a sophisticated harmony of modern and traditional design aspects on a warm and welcoming colour palette. The brand identity was crafted to embody accessible luxury, with a focus on luxe typography mirroring the sophistication of menus found in prestigious wineries and restaurants.
Impact
The new refined branding has allowed Sara’s business to flourish in the food and wine tourism space. Mirroring the high-end experience offered, the elegant brand identity is easily used across her website and social media to present a stronger level of cohesiveness and professionalism. The flexibility of the logo suite lends itself to a world of possibilities, including her upcoming product range that’s just as unique and elegant as the experiences themselves.
